WHISKERS + MINERALS

A fun and funky wallpaper and a collection of rocks. Could it get much better?

GALLERY TALK

I am a sucker for a great eclectic mix of art in frames. The wackier the prints and art, the more collected the overall scheme looks. These are some of my favourites.

CLIMBING TO THE TOP

I have finally reappeared after eons of silence. These mountain shaped forms are reminiscent of my life the last few months, moving on up.

AU NATUREL

We all know that color can be fun; injecting energy and enthusiasm in design but so can neutrals. With textures and patterns becoming the energy injection, neutrals can be just as interesting and effective.

TRENDING: COWHIDE

Hides, especially cowhides have become a huge trend in interiors lately. They've bounced back from late 2010 and it looks as if they going to have an even better year in 2011. They're classic and timeless and always lend a quirky twist to design. Whether they're a rug or a pillow or even reinterpreted as a throw, cowhide is an excellent option for any style. Now cowhide can get a bit pricey but there are many affordable options like Ebay and Etsy, which supply authentic and faux at great prices.

I've even jumped on the bandwagon with my recent acquisition of a silvery gray and white brindle cowhide rug (which will hopefully find its place in my bedroom)
